Rachel Huan Kao is an immigration attorney with a solo practice in Glenview, Illinois. She serves the immigrant community, and is able to provide in-house interpretation and translation in Spanish and Chinese. She earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. Rachel is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (Midwest Regional Conference Planning Committee, and Community Outreach/Advocacy Committee Co-Chair), the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Asian American Bar Association, and the Chinese American Bar Association. She is a monthly contributor to Pinoy Monthly newspaper, a Filipino American newspaper. Rachel speaks on immigration law and immigration issues.

In her spare time, Rachel serves as the Treasurer and general member of the Board of Directors of the Chinese Mutual Aid Association. She also serves as a Director for the Chinese American Bar Association - Chicago Chapter, a Director for the Greater Chicago Chapter of the Organization of Chinese Americans, and a Director for the Asian American Bar Association – Chicago Chapter.

After a 25 year management career with one of the largest Chicago-based dry corn miller operations in the Midwest, Estella joins the law firm of Rachel Huan Kao whose practice focuses on Immigration and Nationality Law. She provides Spanish interpretation and translation to the Spanish-speaking clients, as well as office administration.

Her past business experience in maintaining accounts in Mexico, Central and South America coupled with her Hispanic heritage and Spanish language skills now allow her the opportunity to best serve the needs of Ms. Kao’s Spanish-speaking client base.

She is a graduate of both De Paul University, Chicago, Illinois and Laredo Business College, Laredo, Texas with an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Morton College, Cicero, Illinois. Her education also includes Traffic Management and Export/Import studies.

Estella also serves as Illinois State Deputy for Women as well as current Vice President for the League of United Latin American Citizens.
